Nobody knows exactly how many women have been murdered in Juarez, Mexico.

Maybe 450. Maybe 5000.

Young. Poor. Students. Factory workers. Their bodies found in vacant lots. In the desert. Sexually abused. Tortured. Mutilated. The police do not care. Do not investigate. Do not help.

Fliers with faces of these missing girls were plastered throughout Juarez. These faces are now silk-screened onto hundreds of blankets.

Put up as a thesis project at the Corcoran Museum of Art and Design in the spring of 2010.

In the spring of 2011 some of the pieces were invited to travel with a show, DISPOSABLE: Ciudad Juárez y la guerra a las mujeres, throughout Spain.
